HE LEFT THE PROGRAM AGAIN AND WAS MISSING FOR TWO DAYS AND I WAS VERY UPSET. RUMOUR HAD IT HE WAS RUNNING AROUND WITH BAD PEOPLE AND A WOMAN INVOLVED. HE'S BACK IN MEDICAL, AND O.K., AT LEAST I KNOW WHERE HE IS AT. I CAN'T SEEM TO FUNCTION, AT WHAT IS GOING ON, I KEEP THINKING ABOUT HIME. AT LEAST I CAN SEE HIM ON SATURDAY, VISITING DAY. THIS IS HORRIBLE, WHAT AM I TO DO, I ASKED HIM STRAIGHT OUT IF HE HAD ANOTHER GIRLFRIEND, HE SAID NO, AND HE IS IN THIS PROGRAM FOR BEING AN ALCHOLHOLIC. I'M SICK!

HELP!

Being with someone who is sick can make you sick as well. Get yourself help. Get yourself a professional counsellor to speak to. Don't focus so much on him. Focus on your own needs, feelings and reactions and start taking care of yourself. He is not your life-line. You must find your own strength and power and realize that what he does or does not do is his choice, and says nothing about who you are. You must choose to make a good, healthy, constructive life of your own. Surround yourself with positive poeple and activities you are interested in. There is a wonderful program Allenon for those involved with alocholics. Go to their meetings. You will learn a lot about what happens to people in this situation and how to get yourself back wisely. It is not up to you to save your life, it is up to you to save your own right now.

Take good care of yourself.
