Does it always feel right?
| Tue, 04-24-2007 - 9:02am |
My question is based on when you love someone is the relationship supposed to feel right all the time or is it normal to think sometimes that maybe this isn't right? Is that when you are supposed to work on the relationship and if so what constitutes working on it? Spending quality time together? Does that feeling come and go in a relationship or should you never feel that way? This feeling isn't based off fighting or cheating or anything like that. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yes, it's sometimes not going to feel right to you. It's a roller coaster and it has it's ups and downs, that's why it's described as work sometimes. People will keep the longer goals in mind and overlook the immediate problems.
The roller coaster is good, it's fun, fast, can make you sick and make you laugh, cry and scream all at the same times
I wouldn't have it any other way.
Welcome to the board photogirl,
I think it is normal for people to question things from time to time. The thing is to figure out why you are questioning the relationship and to see if the relationship is strong enough to make it though the tough times.

My relationship (of 15 years) has always felt right
We've never really had any doubts or roller coasters or 'ups and downs'. We don't fight and are generally on the same page as each other. Our parenting strategies are the same. Any disagreements get worked out quickly and respectfully. Raised voices are unacceptable and so are insults and quiet sulking.
I don't think I could do a relationship which had doubts....mainly because in the past I've tended to dump and run at the first doubt LOL. But it's been worth it - because leaving relationships which left me doubting has freed me up for finding Mr Right.
