Sara, I have to say I, too, think you are over-reacting...I'm not sure why you were devastated that you didn't get a physical gift on the "anniversary" of your first date.

I think it is really interesting that you mention the gifts, where they come from and at times, the cost. Why do that here? How important are these material things and do they really represent love and devotion? Maybe your fiance is getting tired of how emotionally needy you are.


'i had made some mention last week about things, like... "today was when we met", and "here is the first email we ever sent each other'


What about not dropping hints and asking for what you want or making reservations yourself and gaining happiness from giving gifts to your fiance.


Honestly do you feel you are emotionally mature enough to have a healthy marriage?
