The fact that he has decided to go into the national gaurd is a major decision. One of which I think everyone probably deal with differently. Not that its an excuse, but maybe this is how he deals with whats going on. I would address it with him. Tell him that you were hoping to spend more time with him before he leaves - he may not realize that he's putting so much into his work and alienating you. Unfortunately, the Gaurd is a position which may require him to leave, something you have to be prepared for and willing to accept...are you?
Nekey, my hubby chooses jobs which don't take him away from home.
Americajin,
Welcome to the board nekey05,
Why would you think you are selfish?
