I can't get my husbands help
| Wed, 08-08-2007 - 2:27pm |
Hello,
I have been married now for 1 1/2 years! My husband is great except one huge issue! I can not get his help around the house. I will bring up how important it is that he helps me and he does, for about a month and then it starts all over again! It takes me completely blowing up before he responds to me! I have tried every different way to explain to him that I need his help but nothing is helping! I have yelled, begged and even asked politley but NOPE! He says that if I need his help to ask, so I asked him to fold the towels and put one more load in the washer and he said sure! But I get home and he never did it! I am to the end of my rope and don't know what to do anymore! If anyone has any suggestions that would be great!! Thanks ya'll

You say he's great in every other way except helping around the house. If it bothers him so much, why not have him pay for someone to do his share? Get someone else to help you, and drop this as an issue of contention between the two of you. He works all day and some men feel as though they've done their share at work and want to relax and be taken care of at home. If you feel you need a hand, discuss this with him, tell him you'll leave him alone, but he needs to pay for someone to do the things you ask of him. That should help.
Best wishes,
