Hi everyone, I would just like some general thoughts on this and possibly you’ve experienced similar things and can tell me what you think. I’m not posting here to have people say “yes, end it with him” or “no, don’t end it with him” because that’s not at all what I’m looking for. I’m simply wondering, might this be a deal breaker someday?

Welcome to the board smileforme1,

I think this is who he is and you can't just that. You don't you try to take an interest in cars for him since you want him to do everything you like. You could learn more about cars, take him to car shows, or learn how to fix them. It would only be fair.

Welcome to the board smileforme1,

At some point this may be a deal breaker for you, especially if you get tired of being the one to plan, inspire, motivate and encourage.

'I can’t help but wonder if I’m going to have to work for the rest of my life to get him off his butt and out into the world to see things."

Why would you do this? Why would you try to change him? He is an introvert and likes to to things on his own. It doesn't mean that he won't be good with his children. Introverts make great
