Maybe you should separate for a while AFTER you find a job. Let him see how much harder life would be without a cook maid and chauffeur at his beck and call. You know how one doesn't appreciate what they've got UNTIL it's gone.

You seem like a strong person so I'm at a complete loss. Why do you constantly find yourself doing these things for him? You know he doesn't appreciate you, and after 20 years you know you get nothing in return. So why do you continue catering to him? I'm sorry but when you spoon-feed a man like a baby for 20 years, is it entirely HIS fault for expecting the same treatment you continue to give willingly? You are enabling this behavior of his, and I wouldn't blame you for leaving the marriage, but if you ever expect to have a functional relationship with anyone in the future, you can't continue to act like a maid/cook/secretary.
