An internet boyfriend with an open relationship

I don't know how many people can say they met the person they love online (I suspect the number is growing with the internet becoming more and more of a constant in our lives), but I am one of them. And I don't mean like a dating site, I mean a message board or social networking site or something like that.
I met my current boyfriend Mark on a roleplay site, and we started talking through Skype. At first it was purely roleplay (some of it sexual, some not) but after a bit we found we had a lot in common. As of right now, we haven't gone a day without talking for about 3 months. About two or three weeks into all this, he asked if I would be his girlfriend, and I happily obliged.
Thank you everyone for you help and advice. In the end I spoke with him about it, and while he didn't exactly say he would be leaving Sam that instant, he did say he understood where I was coming from, and that we could work on it. I've decided I'm happy with that for now.
As for knowing him... I spent a weekend with him. Perhaps that's not enough to truly get to know him, but yes he'll be moving closer soon and then I do hope to have the oppurtunity to get to know him more. It's not like I'm planning on marrying this boy, but I am enjoying our relationship and hoping it can grow.
DH and I met on line, not on a dating site, but on a site where we both share a hobby.
I don't agree with your view on people's honesty on line.
Since he is moving closer to you then you can see how an actual relationship goes.
I'm with TrueBlue here.
Toast, I'm having a little bit of trouble getting my head
