Welcome to the board ivdaisy4,

I say give him a couple weeks to see if he make the changes that the two of you talked about.

It could be that this is who he is and he won't change, but I still think you should give him a chance to see if he does.

What was his reaction when you talked about the issue?

Would he be open to reading a book?

He agrees with me that those are things he needs to work on, it's just getting him to put them into action.

Ok, then, sure, give him a few weeks to do what he agrees he needs to do.

Welcome to the board ivdaisy4,

Consider reading the book to him, if the two of you have time.

So what do you specifically say and do to clearly show him that he is accepted and appreciated for who and what he is and the value he brings to your life?

A word of caution for you from a man's perspective.

You are clearly telling him that he is failing as a man that you need by not meeting your expectations, requirements and demands.
