I really don't know where to begin. I have been married to my husband for 11.5 years and we have 4 beautiful children, one of which lives in heaven. We have always been so in sync with each other and happy. I can honestly say he is my best friend and I love him with all of my heart. Almost 3 years ago we had Lincoln who was born with a heart defect and past away during open heart surgery at 25 days old. This was a heavy blow, but we became closer than ever and vowed to lean on each other. In the next 2.5 years, I also lost 3 grandparents.

Welcome to the board Rebecca,

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your son Lincoln. I can't begin to imagine how hard that must have been for you.

Geoteo,

Thanks for sharing your story (you usually don't share much personal stuff). I am sorry to hear about Alexia. I recently had a pregnancy loss, but I know it is nothing like losing a child.

Thank you for your response. I feel like it would be so easy to give up, but I know that love is still there and my kids deserve me trying my hardest. I am seeking out counseling, because emotionally I am drained. I really need a third party perspective on how far to push and when to hold back. Thanks!

Thank you for sharing. I know a lot of this stems from Lincoln's death. We know the statistics: 70% of all marriages fail after the death of a child. I just thought we were strong enough to survive.
