My fiance and I are living together for the past year and when he proposed to me this year, we have both noticed that the planning for the wedding in December and financial constraints have left us both lashing out at each other because we cannot seem to understand each other anymore. We are both very frustrated and have been having arguments almost every second day. He says I don't understand what he is saying and take the meaning wrong and I think he is doing the same. Are we loosing the luster in the relationship all together because of marriage?

Was everything fine in the relationship before the proposal or did you have communication problems and now they are magnified with the planning of the wedding? What do you mean by financial constraints? Does one of you want to plan for a wedding that you really can't afford?

Maybe it is time for couples counseling.

Everything was "too good to be true" before the engagement. He runs his own business which is fairly new and therefore has all his money invested into the business. From the discussions, it seems that I will be putting more of my money than his. I didn't even get a ring on the engagement that he says that he "didn't know" about and doesn't have the money for right now. My friends are questioning his level of commitment to me now..
