Hey all wots up!
Im 23, been with my boyfriend 3 yrs now we've had quite a few ups and downs. Thing is before i met my boyfriend i used to be with this guy 'every other weekend' for about 3 yrs (and i only slept with him ONCE which was more of a drunken fumble), he went to oz for a yr then and i started going out with my current bf. The last 2 yrs my bf has changed soccer team and guess what my old flame plays for that team. Both of them have become good friends and always go out together after matches etc.
I find myself not going out with my boyfriend when hes going out with this guy because I CANT STOP THINKING ABOUT HIM. I mean i think about him all the time things we used to do and i do alot of day dreamin bout him. Im afraid that with a few drinks i might do sumit stupid. LAst xmas there were loads of us out together and my bf wudnt dance with me so i dragged the other guy on the dance floor and i 9we) nearly kissed him n think that the only thing stopping us was who was around(but that cud jst be my obsession).
I must admit this guy is not as good lukin as my bf and dosnt have a girl friend, he recokons he cant find one. Jst need some advice, i dont want to make a fool out of my self.
Cheers

Get clear on which of these guys you really want in your life as your boyfriend. If you are thinking of the other guy all the time, that tells you something. What is it you think about? If you fantasize about being with him, then it could be that something is not fulfilling enough for you in your relationship with your boyfriend. Are there problems going on in the relationship that you have not addressed or worked on? Is something wrong or bothering you? When this happens, then it is easy to fantasize about someone else. Before you just allow these feelings to run away with you, figure out what's going on. Sometimes it's hard to figure things out alone. If the situation is too disturbing, have a few sessions with a counsellor to clear your head and get further understanding. Obsessive thoughts need to be understood. They're there for a reason. Get help in finding out why.

Welcome to the board kc_suzie,
The grass is not greener. You may be obsessed... but that doesn't mean if you hooked up with this guy that it would last.
