Need a good marriage counselor

I'm new to ivillage and I need help. After 18 years of marriage, my husband told me that his feelings have changed. We used He said that we've lost our connection. I knew that things had changed but I just assumed that we had drifted and would soon reconnect.

I love my husband so much! We've gone to one counselor who helped husband realize why his feelings changed. This counselor just didn't work for me. He was very "pro husband" and very "anti me" for some reason. I didn't feel like he heard or cared about what I am going through. We spent $800 over a few month period and I don't feel like he cared about anything I said during those 3 months.

Now, we need a new counselor basically to help us reconnect.

Can anyone give me a recommendation? If we don't do something soon, we're heading toward divorce. Thanks in advance

Momofbag, I'm so sorry you are going through this. You say that you want a counsellor who will help you reconnect - is this what your husband wants too?

Now, the previous counsellor helped your husband realise why his feelings have changed.  Have the two of you done any work on fixing whatever what broken.   Can you give some examples of how you feel the counsellor was 'anti you'?    What problems did you have in the marriage and what was your husband's view of the same issue?

Sorry to give more questions instead of answers, but your responses will help us to give you some different views.
