To make a long story short my best friend and her DH and kids are here visiting from VA...well my DH HATES this guy for many reasons. He says he has noticed him looking at my rear..So today we took the kids to the zoo (seperate cars)and I wore an outfit I have worn for 3 summers now....khaki shorts and a tank top..the tank is not low cut or short or anything, same for the shorts.I figured it was a comfortable outfit and and it shows a heck of a lot less then most other girls wear nowadays. Well he basically said he asked me not to wear this type of outfit while I am around them. I wish I had a better picure but the outfit is similar to the following:

Similar tank

Exact Short:

I understand to a point where he is coming from, but I thought I looked respectable. He made me feel like I was dressed like a sl**! He refuses to listen and just says that I have asked you not to dress like that in front of him (keep in mind the last time we were around them was in April and I had on low rise flare jeans)...dress like what?..then he says you could have at least worn a t-shirt, fine but I did not see anything wrong with the tank...I was trying to get some sun today so I opted for a tank. I am still trying to figure out where I went wrong.

BTW the shorts come up to about an inch or so below my belly button. They are not low cut...Thanks!

Just my opinion....that is a cute outfit and nothing provocative about it! YOU are not the one who did anything wrong and YOU are not the one with the problem. It's the guy who looks at your butt and the guys who is jealous about it. NOT your fault! :0)

"you" did not do anything wrong. I don't think that a spouse/BF/SO should tell someone how to dress any way. we are all adults and make our own decisions on what to wear.

is this the only issue you have with your husband?

I agree with the two replies you have gotten and would add:

It's very sad that your husband doesn't confront the guy, or both of you together. Like 'It's really rude that you check out my wife so much and it's disrespectful to both my wife and your wife.'

Sounds like your husband is transferring responsibility. You are not the problem, your actions are not the problem, your wardrobe is not
