Need serious advice!!!

i've been with my daughters father for 12 1/2 yrs (i'm 27), we have a good relationship by most part, we have our little arguments here and there but nothing that extreme.... we got engaged back in 2001, but he doesn't want to get married.... i don't understand why is it so hard for him to want to get married.... we both have good jobs, own our own home and have a child together, he wants to have more kids, but he says he's not ready to get married yet (mind you he's 35 years old).... i don't feel that i have that commitment from him.. i tell him all the time, we live together, have a child together, why can't we just make it legal and get married? he tells me that we don't need a piece a paper to show people that we're committed to one another... i just don't know that to think.... please some serious advice..... thanks

Pianoguy has a question for you.
Does this man sound "really serious about getting married" when the 2 of you have been engaged for 3 years...had a child together...and he desires more children from you without acknowledging the fact that you are his wife?
It's too easy to use the "why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free" quote. But what's even scarier is....you have a 2nd child in your household! And that's the man you'd like for a husband!!!
How many "children" are you willing to take care of by yourself?
This is the most serious advice I can give you...and definitely something to consider before you keep this nonsense going any longer!
