It's unfortunate that he's emotionally unavailable and even doing things (getting in the shower) to create emotional distance when you are trying to share, however, you can't change him and how he behaves.

You aren't your usual self and this is based on all these things, but also keep in mind that you just had a baby and post partum is probably a lot to blame. My partner sucks at emotional support, but I'm not usually too much in need of that support from him. It would be nice, but he has so many other good qualities that I can't hate him for not being perfect. When I just had my second kid, I had a hard couple of months and my fiance could not relate.
