I, also, believe everything happens for a reason. However, I don't believe that the reason is always clear or obvious. Sometimes, men enter our lives for reasons other than "we are soul mates who are meant to be together". Sometimes I think men are in our lives as a learning experience.

Your devotion to your current boyfriend is very scary. "Id rather die than be without him" this is not a phrase that a grown woman should ever utter.

I think once you start being honest with your family and with yourself, you may have consequences for lying, but you will ultimately feel better about yourself and your decisions may become more clear.

Your life is a wreck, you need to come clean to your parents that you and your ex are not together anymore and if they are going to invite him to go on vacations with them, you will not be coming. Demand respect from them. If they choose not to give it, then that sucks for them. Live your own life, you're 23 not 13.

You need to stop lying to everyone for starters.
