It is important for me that my spouse listens to me and consider my feelings. I also think that rhe fart example is perfect ; asking a spouse to stop because it is disgusting is NOT asking them to change who they are, it's not like you're asking to becme swingers.... It doesn't change who they are at their core !!!

A spouse who refuses to listen and make changes to something that does NOT change who they are at their core are either very stubborn, or like to pick battles for power in the relationship.

It takes 2 to tango and if she is solely interested in standing her grounds, not move an inch, then I guess you know where you stand.

I don't think you can have a successful marriage where one person says right to the other "I don't care what your opinions are."
