should I go

I'm writing in regards to my marriage. For the longest time, I have not been happy in my relationship. It seems as if my husband and I have grown into two different people. Well, I feel like I have grown and he has stayed the same. I have a very stressful job that I love, and I am very dedicated to my profession. I also strive to better myself and look for promotions. My husband, however, is content with being mediocre. His philosophy is "set the standards low so no one expects much from you." He is so intelligent, yet he doesn't care about anything. That is just one of the things that drives me crazy.

He also does not take care of himself. We have dental insurance, yet he won't go to the dentist and he suffers from halitosis.

hey,

I don't think you're being rediculous! I feel your pain. I think the question you should be asking is if you're willing to take extra time to dig into him and help him understand. You shouldn't be pushing, but simply nicely asking and showing him what exactly

Welcome to the board candycanegirl2003,

Is counseling an option? If he won't go with you, go alone. It will give you a safe place to vent and sort through your emotions to help you make a decision.
