The wife just was in the hospital for a fertility treatment. She came back and told me that she had a borderline yet still negative Chlamydia test. But for some reason the doctor wants us both to go on Meds. The problem I am having is that we have been together for 9 years I have had a Chlamydia swab test done 4 years ago.

YOu didn't say how long you were married or together, but Chlamydia is something you catch from another person during sex.

I would just make sure she really has chlamydia and this is why, ...i have had a history of bateria infections, using lubricants can cause me to get a bacteria infection, ever since i was young and before being sexually active, and on sererval occaions i have had a doctor tell me they think i have chlamydia and even gave script for both me and my spouse, i have to tell the doctor to actually run the test and it is ALWAYS negative, it just that bacteria looks like chlamydia discharge, everytime the actual test is negative and never a reason to take meds, this has happened once when i was in hospital of very bad uti and when i was pregnant the last time 5 yrs ago and another time when i was having laser surgery to have adhesions removed at my post op check up, i never take the meds and my next check up (when i dont have bacterial infection) the issue never comes up b/c i dont have the discharge. (i really dont get bac. infections that often, i was just unfortunate to have one on those occasions). long story short i never worry about it anymore b/c i know im not cheating and my spouse is aware of the situation too)

bsd_cool, if the test was "borderline, yet negative" I wouldn't be assuming that your wife actually HAS chlamydia.
