I just think it would be very difficult to get him back once he has already found a new GF who he likes.

Thanks for the advice guys, and you're right. I'm not really sure I would want him back so bad if I didn't know he has a gfriend. I was, however, planning to try to work things out with him before I even knew about it, just hadn't brought it up yet. For the record, as much as I harped on him about things, he was just as moody and grumpy very often and it wore on me through our whole relationship. We were both to blame for the demise, I just think I was more rude and disrespectful with his feelings than he was mine. He would just sweep everything under the rug and pretend the issues didn't exist. Communication was definitely a huge problem in our relationship.
You need to tell him that if the relationshp is over, it doesn't make sense to keep living together as roommates while you are both dating other people.
Why do you care that he gets angry when he sees you with boxes preparing to move?
