Well I am 31 and DH is 37. We have been married for 8 months and are on our 2nd round of IVF.

Welcome to the board uvabelle,

This could be more than hormones. It could be about unexpressed expectations, lack of communication or him not really being ready to be a father.

Men are quite dense and you can't expect him to read your mind. Sitting in the car and sulking, expecting him to somehow figure out your thoughts is completely counterproductive. As for the fact that "talking to him does not help at all," shouldn't that be a HUGE red flag? If you can't communicate with your partner, you're doomed. It's all in how you approach things. You can't expect him to be very receptive when you try to discuss things in the midst of an argument. Pick an appropriate, non-confrontational time to address your issues and see how that goes. Hope that helps.

My dad does the same thing to my mother (I'm 21, and though we've been together about 4 years I am not living with my boyfriend...so I fortunately cannot have had this happen to me so far).

Welcome to the board uvabelle,

I don't think it is hormones. If my DH was laughing at me and mocking me, I would be pissed of too. It doesn't have anything to do with hormones. It is about his respect or lack there of for you and your feelings. You are entitled to be upset that you came home to a filthy home and that right away a friend was staying for 4 days.

I think you need to talk to him about what he is doing and how it is affecting you.

Was he like this before you married him? is this typical (inviting someone w/o telling you)? His not helping to clean the house?

He can't read your mind when you go to the car and don't explain why.

Yeah, your husband was acting like a selfish jerk, but you dropping hints and pouting in the car really doesn't communicate anything to him.
