Yes, we've taken a couple of week-long trips.

Without going back & rereading, I think you said something about thinking about selling your house--that could be the basis of starting a discussion.
You cn have the conversation without issuing ultimatums. Tell him ahead of time. that at some point in the near future, you would like tio have a conversation about where you both thinks the relationship is going. Tell him you don;t want to do it right then, as it is comething that you want to put some thought in to. And then see how it goes. It sounds like you have a pretty good idea of where you want it to go. He will either be on the same page, not tihnking the same way at all, or being male, has not thought about :)
We've already had the "where do you think we will go long-term" discussion and that is where he said that he would like us to marry someday.
