UPDATE: first of all I want to thank all that replied, it was a huge help!!!
I got home from work yesterday and he had the WHOLE house cleaned and the garage too, he actually had dinner waiting for me on the table and did get the local paper and called some places that were hiring, he has an interview on Mon. with one of them so far. That was a big "WOW". It was like he knew I posted on here. After dinner we had our talk about what ONEJILLIEBEAN suggested and I was straight and to the point. I gave him the choice of either spliting the bills evenly or he find somewhere else to live, he needed to talk to my boss or go find somewhere else to work full-time and nothing but full-time will cut it and figure out how to get there. I also gave him a choice of what his weekly cleaning duties were going to be. He chose to do the bathrooms, vacuming and dusting.
He worked at my company today and he did talk to my boss, Ron said to him he needed a full-time job and if it wasn't going to be at this company (I work for) soon he would no longer be available to work on a casual basis for him, after he did that my boss came up and asked me about it. I informed my boss that yes Ron needed to find a full-time job and if he didn't hire him that would be fine with me, I told him not to let our relationship sway him to one side, to go by how good of a job he does. So now my bos is doing his favorite thing and "PONDERING IT" (lol, he loves that word) Ron told my boss he wanted an answer by tomorrow.
I have to give him a little credit. Not all credit yet I'll have to see how serious he really is first. I gave him untill the 24th of October. Meanwhile anything he makes for money he is giving right to me for bills (I do the payroll too.) That was his request.
So time will tell how he handles all this.
Thanks all!!!

I know some people on here will be thinking and even want to tell you that this is probably a temporary change and people don't change over night, but from my experience...people do change. He's had his job since the week after the interview and that was a year ago, and he is all set to graduate next fall with honors so far. I don't think his change was over night, I think it was gradual...all that time I thought he would never get motivated and then one day he just DID it!
So good luck and good for you guys. I hope it goes well.
Thanks Lyn I'm glad it worked out for you!!!!
