What Should I Do?

I need help big time! I'm 14 years old. I think my mom is cheating on my dad!?! She works with this guy. She calls him all the time. She doesn't have him in her phonebook on her cell phone. But after she gets off the phone with him I check her recent calls and most of them are made to him! She doesn't know that I know. I know that my dad definitely does not know! When ever she is on the phone with him and I'm in the car with her she's always like "No, I can't come over right now my daughter is with me." or "I need to find some way to get out of the house and see you." I don't think she knows what she is doing. She is risking a lot by doing it! She has 4 kids, I'm the oldest. She always used to get paranoid by thinking that my dad was cheating on her and he never did. Now she is doing it to him! What should I do? I really need help! I've thought about telling my dad but I don't dare to. I've thought about confronting her about it

Hey, I'm sorry you're going through this. When I was 15 this happened to my best friend and it was so difficult for her.

I do think you should bring it up to your mom. Unfortunately, she is choosing to drag you into it by talking to this guy when you're around, and while I don't think you should be confrontational, you could say "mom I love you but it makes me really uncomfortable when you talk on the phone like that when I'm around."

It's not right for her to put you in the middle of this. I do think that you should tell her how badly it makes you feel.

Welcome to the board inlove4real,

eggbertshootsfire gave you excellent advice. I hope you will be able to have that conversation with your mother and stay calm while doing it.

This board is for adults, but I hope it has helped you.
