It seems as though this therapy was very helpful to you until the therapist began to turn into a preacher. I agree that he overstepped his boundaries by talking about God to you. That's not his role it's inappropriate to use the therapy sessions as a time to try to convert you. You didn't seek a minister and that's not what you were paying him for. It's actually unfortunate that he took this route because not only did it turn you both off, but is most likely the reason why you have lost trust in him and want to get away. It's fine to tell him that it is not working at this point and you need time to think things over. Remember, you have hired him, he's not an authority over you. However, in the future, if you do wish to continue working on yourself, please do not feel soured on therapy, just realize that due to his strong beliefs, and while wishing the best for you, he just overstepped his role.
Welcome to the board feelingsomuchbetter,
::So should we do like we want, tell him tomorrow that this is our last meeting?
Like I said don't enter into explaining or justifying your decision.
