I'm totally freaked over Michael Douglas saying his throat cancer was caused from HPV through oral sex.   I wonder if I need to get tested or my husband for it, as much as we both enjoy it not sure it's worth getting cancer over.  Anyone else concerned about this?  I wonder if you can still get the vaccination if you are an older adult.

Hi,

Don't you have regular pap smears?  Here in the UK, all women between the ages of 25-60 (I think) are written to and told to attend the doctor's surgery for the procedure to be performed.  There is a two week wait for the results.

More sex please, I'm British!

I do get regular pap smears, which will check for abnormalities, but that doesn't mean you don't carry the infection. I've been doing some research and we should be okay since we are committed partners.
