Am I the only on up this early?

The worst part about being a morning person is that I can't sleep in on weekends!

So how are all my favorite board buds? I really miss being here with you all. Here's a little update on me, in case you were wondering. Since I haven't been able to access the boards from work, I've been able to spend a lot more time writing. I found an erotica site looking for submissions so I'm writing something for them. It needs to be at least 12,000 words and I usually average around 4,000 so it's a bit of a challenge for me, but I'm enjoying it. I also wrote out a plan to help me achieve my goal of being a published erotica writer. Now I just have to make time to work on it. Big Brother isn't gonna let me anywhere near a site with the word erotica on it. (I wouldn't do that at work anyway.)

Our sex life has been pretty non-exsistent this week because DH was sick. Really sick. He had a fever of 102 on Sunday morning. No nookie for me. :-( But he's gotten much better so hopefully we'll get back to our "normal" routine soon.

Now for the bad news. BIL's month living with his sister is almost up and now they want to send him back to us! No way! The deal was a month with us, a month with them and then he gets his own place. I strongly suspect he hasn't even looked for anything else so I called the city housing authority to find out if he could get into low-income housing. Know how long their waiting list is? They're just now helping people who applied in December 2001! Urg. I really don't want him to live here again, but it looks like I might not have a choice.

Oh yeah--I got my yellow belt in karate too! Woohoo!

Oh my I have babbled quite a bit this morning. I'll try to be around more often. These new boards take some getting used to. Have a great weekend everyone!

Later! Amy

Hey, you! Congrats on the yellow belt. Glad your dh is feeling better.

What's the deal with BIL? Does he have a job? I know it might be difficult to say no to him, but saying yes might not be for his own good, unless you put some conditions on it. Like make him pay rent.

I've seen it too often, that it's just too easy for somebody to be a slacker, or sit around and be depressed, if other people let him get away with it.

If he has to pay rent to you guys, and follow all of your house rules--maybe make some up to make it less pleasant for him--he'll be more motivated to get out and find his own place.

You know me--I always have opinions about everything!!!

About the writing, I usually have the opposite problem. I'll write 12,000 words and they want me to cut it down to 4,000. I'm not sure which is harder--adding words or cutting them out.

Good luck!

I have no problem saying no to BIL, but the rest of his family continues to bail him out. He has a job, but not a very good one. I've decided not to worry about it. There's nothing I can do anyway. My in-laws are the type you can't argue with.

I was up early but we had a rare "good morning" boink (GF is not bright-eyed in the morning, usually) so I wasn't online.

Good luck with the writing. I've toyed with the idea of writing erotica for a couple of years, but I've never been able to make myself sit down and do it. In theory, I think I'd be a natural at it since I am a writer by profession and I think about sex constantly. I just can't ever focus on a story idea long enough to flesh it out, so to speak. Sounds like you're miles ahead of me in the process. I hope that site you found turns out to be something that opens some publishing doors for you.
