Hi Olivia,

I'm sorry you're having difficulties -- that sounds incredibly frustrating!

How long ago was the hysterectomy? Does sex hurt? Was it a total hysterectomy, meaning was everything removed? I think you should make an appointment with your GYN and discuss this with him/her. Or you could try masturbating and find out what it is you need and like in order to orgasm. Once you get it, then you can relay the info to your partner.

I wonder if I am now having difficulty relaxing enough to allow for ME to feel pleasure, because I find myself worrying about him.

Maybe.

YAY for the orgasm. Now that you've practiced and know what you need in order to orgasm, tell your husband. Talk to him outside the bedroom and explain the way things will be done. If he tries to stop concentrating on your pleasure first, don't let him. If it means stopping completely, then so be it. He has to be willing to help you before he gets off.

Orgasms aren't affected by hysterectomies.

Sounds to me like you are making a lot of good moves. Just don't give up.

I was going to suggest the FWB approach, but it seems you have beaten me to

Good bless you, fissatore. Seems like most people think sex stops at 40 or 50. I was fortunate to have some wonderful experiences in my younger years, but it seemed to get better after 50 and continues to
