Nothing "leads to" HIV. HIV is spread by a person who is infected with the virus...and it doesn't matter if a person is heterosexual, homosexual, or BI-sexual. If they have it, they can give it to you.....anally, vaginally, or orally.
If you're concerned about HIV, or any other STD, then don't have unprotected sex with ANYONE unless they have been tested, and can prove it. Unfortunately, sometimes it takes years for HIV to show up, too.
Also, it's a good practice for a man to use a condom for anal sex for HIS protection against infection from the bacteria that are naturally present in the colon.....and if they get into his urinary tract, can cause a nasty infection. In addition to that, a man should NEVER go anywhere near your vagina after anal sex until he has thoroughly washed himself.....because if he brings the colon bacteria to your vagina, with his penis or even his hands, you can get a bacterial vaginal infection. "Safe sex" will protect you from most problems.
thank you, but i heard rumours saying anal sex can lead to hiv even if both partners r hiv negative.. my only sexual partner is my girl and my girl's only sexual partner is me.. and we're trying anal sex.. but i'm worried tht we might be infected by hiv.. any idea about this issue?
You'd be better off NOT listening to rumors. Learn the FACTS.
HIV is a virus. It has NOTHING to do with anal sex. You cannot get ANY virus, including a cold, unless someone spreads that virus to you. If you don't have HIV, and your partner doesn't have HIV, then you CAN'T GET IT!
When HIV was first identified, at that time it was confined to the "gay" community. Since homosexual men practice anal sex a lot more than the heterosexual community, that's how it was generally spread. Many homosexual men are actually bi-sexual, and if they have it, they can also spread it to women, vaginally, orally, or anally.
You cannot get OR give HIV unless one of you is carrying the virus.
The only thing anal sex "leads to" is pain or pleasure, or both, but NOT HIV!
If you or your partner already has HIV, then anal sex is an excellent way to transmit the virus. However, if you don't have the virus, simply engaging in the behaviour will not magically produce the virus.
If you're not sure, then religious use of condoms and lots of lube (to reduce tearing or bleeding) will go a long way towards keeping both of you safe.
Yes, HIV and all STDs can be spread through anal or any kind of sex act if one partner is not STD/HIV clean.
