Anal: What's the attraction?

It's obvious that a lot of posters enjoy anal sex. I did try it years ago and it didn't do much for me. What's the attraction? If there is a perfectly good vagina available, why would someone opt for anal? I'm not being judgemental, just curious. Maybe I should try it again.

I don't understand guy's fascination with it either. I just can't imagine it being that great for a girl. I've tried with my ex, but we were unsucessful, and it did not feel very good. I agree, what's wrong with a perfectly tight vagina????

Do you always have the same thing for lunch, or do you occasionally have something different? Do you ever eat something a little out of the ordinary just for the thrill of eating it?

Personally, I love being on the perpetrator side of the equation because anal sex is simply different from vaginal sex - its a different set of physical sensations. Throw in the fact that its a little taboo and

I'm not sure what the attraction is. I am only 23 and have never tried it and don't think I will any time soon. My bf wanted to a couple days ago, but I told him no, the thought is just too scary for me. He said that he had dated a girl once that really liked it. But not me.

We do anal sex occasionally and we both enjoy it.

Why is it that every guy feels the need to bring up an ex gf of his that did it? My friend's bf is like that and that is how he got her to do anal and give him oral while he was driving!! hell thats how he got her to go down on him period. she wanted to only use condomns, i thought he would be greateful for a bj, but then he complained that she used flavored condomns. thats also how he got her to swallow, she didn't want to but his last gf wasn't a "giver" and didnt finish him up and that bothered him.

the guys that i have known that were into that have turned out to be gay, not saying that it is a homosexual act, many people enjoy it but its a lil out there. only about 9% of women or less engage in it.

Well, in my case, after my boyfriend constantly suggesting it, I tried it. Yes, it hurt really bad at first, but after awhile, it became more enjoyable. It's so intimate .. it's not something you can do with someone you don't trust. And while we were doing it, I had an awesome experience.

However, since then, I haven't had a desire to do it again, and when we try, we don't get far. I will say its enjoyable, but you have to be really in the mood, relaxed, and willing.

>>The attraction?

It's variety. The slightly dirty, taboo aspect adds to the sexy, naughty thrill. Having your partner perform a dirty, taboo act is exciting too.

It's a very deliberate and concious sexual act so the permission and trust needed for it inhances the emotions and the intimacy.

The anus is much tighter than the vagina so it's a very enjoyable and unique sensation. There's probably a little bit of a powertrip in there when she allows you to do this 'taboo' thing to her too.

>>Why not use a perfectly good vagina?

Well, as already said, the sensation is really good and it's variety. Why not give up fellatio when there is a perfectly good vagina?

"For both sexes, fellatio is less common than either sexual intercourse or cunnilingus" (Newcomer and Udry, 1985)

"anal intercourse is generally an experiment or occasional activity rather than a common mode of sexual expression. About 10 % of men and 9% of women report engaging in anal sex"

(Michael et al.,1994)

that and my own general observation
