Anyone appreciate hair down there?

Does anyone actually appreciate the presence of, and appearance of pubic hair? After reviewing many of the message posts within this site and hearing from different people in public it seems like everyone is on a mission to end the presence of all bikini hair on earth forever. I find pubic hair to be physically appealing and am especially interested to hear some replies from others within the 20-30 age bracket of which I am a part. I have no issue with maintanence, but find the brazilian method a bit much. I need to know that I am not the only one left who sees value in keeping hair down there. I'm looking for as many posts as possible, please fill me in.

Just because I read something about a girl from Europe who never shaved, and the other European (German) woman who didn't shave her arm pits but thought about shaving them to "fit in"...

Well, I am from Europe.

It is true that women here started shaving their arm pit hair later than you girls and women did, but now almost any woman and girl here shaves.

We shave our legs, we shave our arm pits....

Times have changed in Europe :-)

Love,

Very much agree.

The Mrs. & I are the type that really don't care either way, but she keeps hers and I most of the time shave mine. Of course when it comes to her using the flavorades on me down there, I REALLY shave mine, LOL!! ;D

I shaved off and on since my teen years, no access to porn or whatever either. My issue was a typical farmboy North Carolina infection of some sort down there, so I just shaved it all off and kept on soaking in the tub daily till it all went away just a week later. Shoot, I even shaved the ol' armpits then too, LOL! Been hooked on the practice of shaving since then, never thought I'd grow gray just to find out that society made it a big deal, LOL!!! I'm sure society plays such a huge role in why people do it, but I tend to think there's still more who do it than most people think anyway.

Not an issue worth thinking about IMHO. We could go on to piercings and clothes styles and circumcision and even wearing makeup for that matter, LOL!, but I've got too much fantasy football to catch up on for any of that stuff. ;)

Can I ask why that has changed in Europe? Was it porn-influenced?

My bet would be that it isn't so much porn, but the general spread and consumption of american media and culture.

<> - I think Europe just followed the States on this one, as did Canada. The real question is, why did it change in the states?

Yes, I'm sure however the "sale" and influence of our culture in general isn't a new thing to Europe. They've been influenced, to some degree, since Hollywood has existed with the export of our movies, TV shows and products. But that's been going on for many decades.

I was in Europe 6 yrs. ago and I still saw plenty of hirsute women, both young and old. I just wondered if this bald trend in porn has finally influenced those beyond our borders.

I wonder myself. But it was likely the commercial (and shock) value of seeing a completely nude vulva in porn. I mean, that's as naked as you can get. Well, maybe it WAS shocking the 1st time it was seen on film. And you still never see a completely nude vulva in mainstream films, do you?

But now, we see pop stars like Britney Spears & Christina Aguilara hiring porn directors for their videos and blurring the lines even more.

This thread, about images of the "bald" vulva got me thinking...

Are any of you familar with the realist painter, Gustave Courbet?

He created a painting in 1886 titled "The Orgin of the World". It is a painting of a womans genitals. Not bald but, the labia are obvious. This painting, and its title, always amazed me. I can only imagine the shock value that it had in 1886.

here's a link if you are interested:

BTW, I've begun shaving only recently. (I let dh do it twice before because he requested it but, I grew it back both times) I am finding that I prefer it this way, so long as I keep it up.

Dh is natural and I love it that way! He has little to no hair on his scrotum so it is not an obstacle during oral. If he was very hairy there maybe I would prefer he trim.
