Anyone appreciate hair down there?

Does anyone actually appreciate the presence of, and appearance of pubic hair? After reviewing many of the message posts within this site and hearing from different people in public it seems like everyone is on a mission to end the presence of all bikini hair on earth forever. I find pubic hair to be physically appealing and am especially interested to hear some replies from others within the 20-30 age bracket of which I am a part. I have no issue with maintanence, but find the brazilian method a bit much. I need to know that I am not the only one left who sees value in keeping hair down there. I'm looking for as many posts as possible, please fill me in.

>>Still brings me back to the ol' issue though. I'm happy with who I am and the personal body decisions I make, yeah, somebody stop me, LOL!<<
yes, you are quite right. When it comes to body image and clothing, if I'm comfortable with myself and my look - then I don't care what others think. So, I suppose the crux of the "being shaved in changrooms" issue is the fact that I'm not comfortable with the idea of me being shaven on any level
>>Just do what you like, live your life, be so thankful that you have a partner who appreciates you and the choices you make, <<
Generally DH accepts my decisions, but when it comes to shaved pubes - we've tried it and he *hates* it. He loathes even half day stubble because it chafes him. I suppose that I could continue if I loved doing it and was pig headed, but I'm not into giving my man a prickly ride if he openly dislikes it. Likewise, I insist that his face be stubble free(or bearded) if it's going near my delicate bits.

Well, I'll just have to confess to being a 'stiky-beak' about all things ;-)
However, as we all know, LTAS is not a good indicator of what the 'average' person does regarding sex. And I'm always interested in observing trends. So anyway, all this talk of being shaven - and it's extreme prevalence on iVillage boards - led me to wonder just how common it is among the average Aussie person. And I can tell you that from what I've seen - it's not common at all.
So, question to any readers:
pubic shaving is not common here in Aust. So, of those who are in America, and who will confess to looking, just how prevalent is it in the US? Also, is it likely that different states would have different stats?
(I won't don't bother doing a survey, because (stating again) iVillage surveys are far from accurate)
Nothing of course, but just never bumped into anybody SO enveloped in the way 'other' people groom.
Are you a barber or maybe even have stock in hair products or something and you're looking for "market" trends via the boards? Whats the secret? Do tell...
thnx n advance

1) As Tish & I pointed out, many times you'll discover, if you care to do so that is, lol, that people groom the way they do for different reasons, whether they just be for the style of it or the feel of it or even that extra psychological cleanliness of it.
REPEAT: cleanliness.
2) I personally was under the impression by other message boards that soooo many parts of were into the practice for "generations" before it became such an issue among the States and even among the message boards. Guess we can't believe everything we read or even 'still' read? LOL! ;)
3) You are once again CORRECT. If I chose to do something different with my body that caused the Mrs. physical discomfort, like stubble as a result of my shaving attemps, then yes that IS a different story regarding doing what I want to to because it negatively affects her...physically. Otherwise, she doesn't mind at all, as long as I'm there in bed with her, she ain't gettin THAT picky about it, LOL! ;D

"Different states have different stats?" I think that would be the case to some degree, although it's not a given.
Where it's warmer and the clothes are skimpier, I think you'll find more who shave. That was my experience living in CA and FL anyway. Where it's colder and winter is longer, you'll probably find less shaving. But age and personal feelings will play just as large a roll, IMO.
I would guess that many people have tried it at least once (even before it was such a trend) and then decided to abandon the practice for some reason.

I can't say that I've heard much regarding European trends....esp. as their trends have little influence on Australia. However, I am aware that pubic shaving has been common practice in the Arab nations for generations.
I have heard that Aussie trends are generally about 10 years behind the US. However, I do believe that there are some trends that we're extremely behind on, or possibly not likely to follow at all. When I say trends, I'm talking a wide variation: anything from plastic surgery to drive-by shootings. Naturally, I'm sure you have a lot of lovely trends too - but sadly, *they* don't make our nightly news.
Hmmm...it's pretty sad to think that other nations are probably more familiar with our failings than our strengths.
