I read an internet article recently, implying that men are big liars.
It said about the sex guy Dr Kinsey, who in the 60s did s study on thousands of men to find the average penis size. The thing was, he trusted the men to do it themselves and report the findings back to him. Even though it was purely anonymous, the article was saying that many probably exaggerated. The average in this study came back as 6.4 inches long.
Anyway, more recently, a major condom company has conducted a similar study on roughyl the same number of men, only the main difference is that THEY actually did the measuring. In other words, no chance for lies.
Guess what, it came back as 5.7inches long, proving according to the article, that men are all liars. LOL!
So I'm curious to know what peoples opinions are. What do you guys and girls here think the average length of the male penis is?
Also, at what length can a penis be considered 'big'? I know every woman has their own preferences but I remember looking at a website years ago that was recruiting pornstars (don't ask). They were saying that they would require their male pornstars to be 6 inches long as anything lower wouldn't look big on camera. But is 6 inches the accepted 'big' length?
So my two questions to both men and women, firstly what do you consider the average length to be? second, what length do you consider 'big' to start at?

>>Having the dimensions and knowing what to do with it is more like 99% probability of a lady orgasming with intercourse alone. <<
Of course you have never performed oral sex, used plenty of foreplay before or during intercourse, or used positions that directly or indirectly stimulate the clitoris either....
You say "knowing what to do with it". That's the key factor. That's what that 80% statistic is all about. Basic intercourse without knowing what to do with it will not provide the stimulation needed. It's when you "know what to do with it" that helps, and is likely the main reason that the women that you have been with have been able to orgasm during intercourse with "99% probability". The 80% figure means that dimensions and intercourse alone will not do it - you've got to know what to do with it.
Back to the OP's question: As a guy I would have considered anything over 7" to be getting big. Just as I'd consider any guy over 6' to be getting tall. But then I'm only 5'8" myself so I guess any guy over 5'8" is tall relative to me. Same with penis size to a degree, it's all relative.
"However, great length or size still isn't necessary to stimulate either the g-spot or clitoris."
You're right, Kat. And actually the man pressing his pubic bone against the clitoris during penetration is one of the ways he can stimulate the woman to orgasm and there are techniques to help him do this. It's actually easier to do if the man isn't too long.

On the lighter side - this was told to me a few years ago:
Make a fist then raise up pinkie and repeat: Do you why females aren't good with numbers? Because all our life we're told this is 6 inches.
IMO if you didn't laugh then you take size tooooo seriously!!!
Hi mrcurious2004:
I read somewhere: large: Taking the cardboard center of a roll of toilet paper, the erect penis is LARGER than the cardboard center.
Average: 5.2

You know, someone could make a fortune selling little tape measures about 10" long that guys could keep in their pants pocket or on their key chain, then whip out when they feel the need to measure...
Seriously, do people actually measure? Until I started to read these message boards, I never would have thought that men or women ever cared. Maybe I've seen too few penises in my life.
