Avian bird flu help!!

One of my best friends is having an extra marital affair.Yesterday she phoned me and was asking me whether the avian bird flu disease is transmissible from one person to another by touching, kissing or by sex. I really don’t know anything on this matter except that one can get the bird flu virus through meat or other poultry products. Actually, the person she was with has been diagnosed with the bird flu virus and she is scared that she might have got infected too.She is looking for a treatment for this disease and actually has told me to order the tamiflu drug for her. I have ordered it at http://www.drugdelivery.ca/bird-flu.aspx but i am thinking whether it is safe for her to take it without confirming whether she is really suffering from it or not? Do you think that this disease can be transmitted sexually?

Karma! Isn't it wonderful!
Who diagnosed the b/f? It's RARE......and if he actually has it, like most flu viruses, it's probably not transmittable once treatment has started. This is something your friend should discuss with her doctor. How do you even know the stuff you bought from that questionable web site is the real thing? How do you or she know that it isn't dangerous to take it? Self diagnosing and self treating can be very dangerous.
She really should go to her doctor. Self diagnosis and treatment is not a good idea. There is a site pandemicflu(dot)gov, that we use here at work. She should look at that to get some knowledge of what exactly Avian Flu is. Go to the frequently asked questions and search from there. Here is part of an answer pertaining how people become infected.
"Most cases of avian influenza infection in humans have resulted from direct or close contact with infected poultry (e.g., domesticated chicken, ducks, and turkeys) or surfaces possibly contaminated from feces of infected birds. As of April 23, 2007, there have been no reported cases of sustained human-to-human transmission of avian flu."

Welcome to the board gal_tiana.
I agree with what the others have said -- she needs a doctors opinion. Taking a medication that is not prescribed for her is potentially more dangerous than having a disease in itself. Especially if the medication comes from an unreliable source.
She can probably just call her doctor and ask if it's possible without even making an appointment. If it is possible, then she can schedule an appointment.
