Ask any dr. or plastic surgeon. ANY foreign object in the body not small enough to be pushed out through the skin, such as a splinter, etc., will be encapsulated over time to protect the rest of the body.

Why do you think people have them done over and over again? Because they become hardened over time.
It's a natural reaction for the body to encapsulate any foreign object in the body to prevent contamination.
Why must they be continually & painfully squeezed? To keep them from becoming hardened and encasing the implant. This is a naturally occuring protective mechanism.

Glad you feel good about your choice and are satisfied. It's just a shame that women go to this extent to feel sexual or complete as a woman.
And I'm sorry, but cutting open the body and inserting bags in the chest is WAY different than applying fake nails or coloring your hair. WAY different. One is cosmetic and the other is unnecessary surgery with all the risks of any surgery.
However, this is just MY opinion and I understand that many women feel differently. To each her own.

I am curious why you have such a strong response to all the people who posted postively about Breast Augmentation? If it is not for you, that is great. I am not here to convince anyone they should feel one way or another. I totally agree Breast implants are not for everyone, I just posted my experience.
I wasn't going to reply at all once I voiced my imput to the I original post but I just had to say a few things.
1. Yes, any surgery has it's risks, elective or not. But the risk of injury during the surgery I had is statistically less than the risk of injury a typical person runs by driving to the store to get groceries-and most people do that many times inthier lifetime. I had a top notch surgeon and am a very healthy person. Thousands of people, men and women have surgery every year and risks of complications are there but very small.
2. I do massage my implants daily, and it is FAR from painful! Matter of fact, now that I have implants, touching my breasts is very stimulating!!!It is an activity I can do alone or with my DH. Yes, there is maintenence but I plan on maintaining all aspects of my health and well being.
3. Yes, the human body does set up a defense system, encapsulation. The rate of Capsular Contraction, which is what you are refering to, is less than 1% and NOT at all a health risk. If you develop it, it can be easily corrected.
If you had trouble with your hip and walking was difficult, would you have a hip replacement? It is considered elective and a "foriegn body" is placed in your hip. You can live without walking just like women can live without breasts but quality of life is what we are talking about. If you are completely satisfied with your breasts and can not put yourself in someone else's shoes, then congratualtions!!!
