Circumcision vs. Non-Circumcision

okay -- I'm confused... someone please explain....

When a guy is hard, is there any difference in the appearance of his penis if he is uncircumcised or circumcised? I realize the difference when he's not hard. But just never considered if there was a difference otherwise. Help?

Also, for the most part, are most men circumcised? (the odd conversation you have with people!)

thanks!

If he's not circumcised, the foreskin is still covering the head of the penis, so yes, it looks different. Most men in the U.S. are circumcised, and Jewish men are... I think Muslims are, too. I think men from most other countries will be "natural".

Nope - there's no difference in the way it looks when he's hard . . . well, at least it looked the same to me :)

okay -- well I couldn't tell the difference when he was hard (and I rarely see him when he's not). And I thought maybe that I had missed something or that I was just not very observant.

Here are the current stats. Looks as though 2/3rds are circumcized.

Er... my boyfriend is uncircumcised and there is a big difference! Maybe guys are different, but his is completely covered whether he is hard or not...

oh well &*(^$%# that doesn't help!!! lol :-)

I'm sorry, I'm completely at a loss right now... one says it makes a difference, another says it doesn't... My problem is, I can't believe that I'm THAT unobservant!!!

all men are slightly different and some have longer foreskins than others.

My son, who is uncircumcised, has such a small foreskin that much of his head is visible even when flaccid. Even the baby nurse questioned whether he was done or not. So, if a nurse has to ask - don't feel bad!

It depends on the guy's penis.

It depends on the guy. For some guys the foreskin stays over the head even when he's hard and erect. Then, when the guy pushes it back it will usually stay back, leaving the head uncovered. Other times it might kinda roll forward again, covering the head again.

For others, it naturally retracts and leaves the head bare as the penis becomes erect.

It varies a lot.

How many are circumsized? At the moment, the majority of men in the USA are circumsized. In recent years there has been a trend to NOT circumsize babies because it's widely recognised that there is little, if any, medical benefit from circumcision and that the baby suffers severe pain from the process. You'll start to see more and more guys under the age of 20 that are uncircumsized.

I believe (don't quote me though) that in Europe there are considerably fewer circumsized men. It was very popular in the USA, England and Australia for many years.

Thank you all very much! At least I know I'm not totally insane and just had no idea what a guy was supposed to look like (especially since I've been married and divorced and have a son!!). Throughy everything you all have told me, plus my discussion with my bf, I am now no longer confused!!

Thanks!! :-)
