The sexual rut: It happens to every couple. You want to have sex, but you're exhausted -- so you resort to Old Reliable, the missionary position, over ... and over ... and over. And there's nothing wrong with that! But why not make the most trusted sex position more exciting?

Check out these 5 variations of the missionary position; they're just as low-maintenance, but a lot more fun.

Welcome to the board jennalicious07.

This wording and article was actually first printed in the Love & Sex Newsletter, dated 6/28/07. Any member can subscribe to the newsletter.

CLs also receive links to certain articles of interest and are sometimes asked to share them with their board. We try to not have too much duplication, but it does happen.

Nice. I asked a ? on a different board and did not know if you could ask the same ? on different boards. I found the article to be very tempting. Just wondering if anyone had mastered all those variations yet. i was a bit confused and need some "idiot" details on the cradle one I think it was # 2 and coital alignment position. thanks.

Have you actually tried the positions with a partner?

I know that the rocking would create different sensations than normal thrusting. You would feel his penis on the walls of your vagina in a different fashion than you would with the thrusting.

The other position is designed so that there is stimulation to the clitoris during intercourse. It can be more difficult to get a good rhythm going, but it is nice as a change and different sensation.

It's nice to use these types of positions for variety, not necessarily the entire session.

I've done several of the Mish (that's what Jenna jameson calls it) variations with d/h. Was not to sure of those two. Sometimes words make it a little confusing. I researched the coital alignment one and it also happens to be one that Cosmo had in one of their articles. Except Cosmo called it the soft rock. That is a nice one. Still unsure about the cradle. The coital alignment is very nice, that one usually makes me hit the big O within 10 minutes, it's all about skin contact and the way you both move. Also adds pressure to the clit making it very exciting.

Nice little article. Have done several of those.

And not to sound like a broken record here, but I know a lot of you have seen the ads in magazines for Liberator Shapes - those were a godsend to our marriage/sex life.

Quit being shy and try them. Ladies I promise you will have orgasms in ways you never thought possible.
