Last night I was having a discussion with my boyfriend about bjs. The subject came up on another board that sometimes men just prefer them over sex. I asked my boyfriend if that was something that he would prefer and he told me that if there was something that he wasn't getting from me that he wanted that he would tell me. He didn't really answer the question but upon further discussion realized that his definition and my definition were different. He thought that since I went down on him that he classified that as a bj where I classified it as giving head. My definition of a bj is the actual finishing (where the "blow" comes in). What are other people's definition? Just curious....

I'm with you ...

Choose your friends by their character and your socks by their color.  Choosing your socks by their character makes no sense and choosing your friends by their color is unthinkable.

I thought that they were all just different ways of describing fellatio. BJ, going down, giving head etc. all the same in my opinion. Just because the guy may or may not orgasm doesn't mean to me that one is different from the other. I must admit that I thought that going down applied more to cunnilingus than fellatio.

I thought that the blow in blowjob comes from the guy 'blowing' his load.
The giving head is literally the act of 'giving' your head (and mouth) to someone.

I've heard two explanations of the giving head meaning. One was that you literally 'give your head' (in his lap) or bow your head down. The other was because of the head of the penis.

But here at our house, we don't consider oral without completion a tease. That's foreplay for us! I can see it being a tease if he *never* gets to finish that particular session in any way. But if he's still getting to finish, just in another...ummm..location, where is the tease part? I thought a c-tease was someone that gets 'em hot and bothered, then leaves 'em high and dry. At least, that's what it meant when I was in HS!
