I have heard that there is such a thing as I guess a sex coach or instructor, does anyone know if this is true? My husband and I are interrested in something like this instead of adding a 3rd party in a "watch and learn" situation. It was suggested that something like this would be better for our marriage and our relationship. If you know of something like this could you also suggest on where to look to find it.

Thanks for your help!

I think that adding a third person in the bedroom and calling it "Sex Coaching" is nothing but new age garbage. There is nothing that a loving and commited couple can learn from a sex coach that they can't learn themselves without the intrusive and artificial situation that is created by a third person in the bedroom. Personally I question the motivations of all those involved.

If you want a threesome, have a threesome, just don't go pretending that it's some kind of professional help. A sex therapist could be some help, but a sex coach is absurd. Sex coaching is like trying to run a threelegged race with a third person.

It is an area of controversy but some therapists do hire 'instructors'. The ones that I am familiar with work with singles and work with them on a very specific issue like body image for a very short time. They are, like I said, controversal and you have to be careful about not crossing the line into prostitution. Personally I would recommend steering away from them and completely forget about the idea.

Any licensed sex therapist is essentially, a "sex coach," in that he or she will help guide you to a more fulfilling sexlife. Not by being IN the bedroom WITH you, but by analyzing your problems and prescribing exercises to aide in resolving them.

Look in your phone book or check the medical websites for your area, and you should be able to find several to choose from.
