dreams about ex girlfriends

this is kinda weird for me to say, but i figured id ask about it
ive been having dreams about one of my ex-girlfriends, but an ex from a lonnnnnnnnnnnng time ago, like from back in high school, whom i still see occasionally. These dreams get pretty heated pretty quickly and Im just wondering is this normal and am I still interested about being with her?

Yes, it's normal and it may or may not mean you're still interested. It would mean MORE obviously, if you showed this same interest in her when you were AWAKE! LOL!
Just the fact that you still see her occasionally is enough for her to pop into your dreams though. And just because she's in your dreams doesn't mean that it's really her you're interested in...she may just be a familiar and handy partner for your nocturnal romp.
Difficult to say.
Are you with anyone at the moment? Do you have a g/f?
If not, I'd just say that your sex-starved brain is using this ex as fuel for wet dreams or fantasies more than any actual interest in her. How do you feel about her while you are awake? Do you want to get back together with her - not just for sex, but for a relationship?
If you have a g/f at the moment, it might mean that you're not entirely happy with her at the moment. How the relationship and the sex life?
Then again, it may not mean much at all and is JUST a sexual dream brought on by running into this ex recently.
a,
Psychologically we dream in symbols not literal fact. Dreams are the left over psychological stuff that must be processed at the end of the day. Our minds cobble together stories out of old images, things we've seen: old memories, t.v. shows, pictures, fantasies, etc. in order to express or release some emotion or nagging thought. This is probably an expression of your sexuality and nothing more...in other words, the image of the old girlfriend in your mind is just a way to put a face to a feeling that your mind/body needs to express.
Remembered dreams have value if you can find what symbol the images represent to you and use that to discover what your subconscious wants to bring to the forefront.
Peace.

waiting for a freud-like answer to come about haha....
so answer previous questions...yes I do have a gf of almost 6 years and I am very happy with her sexually and emotionally.....
this has been bothering me the past few days and I think the reason is that me and my gf have had several serious fights and maybe the future seemed cloudy, and BAM in pops this girl that I still know and would "seemingly" give me no trouble (because its the dream world) or maybe its the fact that she was the one girl where I never had a chance to pursue our relationship further, and my mind isnt letting go.....i dont think about this girl at all during the day, and the dreams are rare...
Actually, that was a Jung-type answer (LOL!)
Sounds to me like you analyzed this properly. Dream women are not real and can be anyway that you want them to be. This may well be your unconscious mind attempting to give you clues to the type of relationship that you really need and desire. That doesn't mean that you can't have that with your current girlfriend, just that you need to have that type of relationship as your intention.
Good luck.

Agreed!! The mind comes up with weird people to have sex with when it wants to. The first (and one of the only) sex dreams I had was when I was 17...and I seduced my very openly gay dance instructor! He was like 35!!! Freaked me out. But then I realized I can't control my subconscious, and no one ever said my subconscious knows what the hell its talking about. Cause I KNOW I wouldn't have ever thought of having sex with him. LOL.
