I understand that this late in pregnancy, my bladder is a jumpoline and therefore, I must pee like a million times an hour..Ok, to be honest..I pee once every half hour..It makes for very difficult times..Clinicals during my CNA class were fun because I was running to pee all the time..But, anyway, my question is this...How do I avoid this when it comes time to make love to my DH? He's coming home in 45 minutes...(I've gotta go get sexy for him in a minute) BUT...How do I keep from saying, "Honey, do ya mind..maybe..stopping for a minute because I've got to pee." That just ruins a mood..For him and me..So, women..Or men..What can I do about this?

Jennie, may I suggest that you post your pregancy questions (whether they be related to your bladder or kicking or whatever) to the Pregnancy and Parenting boards?http://parenting.ivillage.com/messageboards?iv_arrivalSA=1&iv_cobrandRef=0&iv_arrival_freq=2

You'll find lots of nice people who are all going through the same thingsand who are interested in the the same things as you, and can give you loads of great advice.

Hello jenniekg,

Your question has nothing to do with being pregnant. It can happen to anyone during sex. Welcome to this board.

I would recommend you to reduce the water intake an hour before having sex and try to empty your bladder just before this. If you take a glass of water, it takes around 40 minutes to reach your bladder, no matter how much water you drink. So, if you want to avoid going to the loo so many times, do not drink water for at least an hour prior to the event.

Thank you so much for your help. I'll have to try that. :)

Aisha, I would go to the pregnancy boards, but I'm more comfy here..Its a matter of comfort and being 'familiar' with the people here on this board..Its nice to have friendly advice from all the people here! :)

I understand pregnancy can aggravate the need to urinate frequently (BTDT), but how do you say "Honey, I've got to..."?? You just SAY it! There have been many times during the years that during sex, I've been uncomfortable aware of a full bladder. I simply say 'Hold on a sec, be right back' and go. If you have to go, it shouldn't be a big deal.

Its the stopping part that's so hard when it feels so good...The sex, not the need to urinate
