Alright....well, me and my boyfriend just had AMAZING sex, but soon after we were finished, and still lying there...I got my period. He got up to leave the room and that's when I noticed there was blood on the bedsheets. I was so embarrassed that I told him I hurt my knee and it was bleeding, but I dont know that he believes me. Lol...I know this is silly and embarrassing, but good Lord..I feel horribly embarrassed. We don't live together, and I had to go home soon afterwards. Umm...I dont know why I'm posting this, I think I just want to know if that's ever happened to someone else, or well....I need to be comforted! Ooooof...I'm embarrassed. Do you think he's disgusted?

I agree with Ginger, there's no reason to be embarrassed.

I should have just told him it was my damn period instead of saying my knee started bleeding. My boyfriend knows plenty about periods and living and dealing with women; it was just embarrassing. Plus, I just tend to overeact to the thought of something embarrassing. Thanks for letting me know that this is a common thing. I didn't know that sex a few days before your period starts triggered it. Thank you so much!

Don't worry about it. It's never happened to me personally but it could happen to any of us at any time. Why should he be disgusted about a normal female function anyway? IF a man is going to be with a woman, then he'd better get used to THAT!

If he's over 16, and he's sexually active, he knows women have periods once a month.
When he left the room, probably to go to the bathroom & clean up, he saw the blood on him, and he KNEW what it was.

If you can have sex with him, and he knows your body intimately, then you have no reason to be embarassed by a natural bodily function.

Did you offer to launder his sheets? LOL

The SAME exact thing happened to me a little over a week ago. We were cleaning up afterward, and I noticed a little blood. I said, "whoops, sorry about that." It really wasn't a big deal, so don't sweat it.
