... What the heck is it?
and like what is the substance that comes out?
Is it urine? Or something else? I mean I know it's not sperm... so, what?
And does it feel different from a regular female orgasm? Or does it feel better?
For those who can, is it easy? Does it happen every time?
Is it something you try, or does it just happen?

and like what is the substance that comes out? The substance is a clear, odorless liquid -- very thin like urine or water. It comes from the Skene's Gland.
Is it urine? Or something else? I mean I know it's not sperm... so, what? It's not urine, although as Sakura said, there can be trace amounts of urine left in the urethra. If you want to try this, I recommend that you empty your bladder well prior to sex. That helps give you confidence that it's not urine. If and when you do FE, you'll know it's not urine by the smell and color. While it can make a huge mess, if left to dry, it usually doesn't leave any type of spot or odor.
And does it feel different from a regular female orgasm? Or does it feel better? I think different is a better term to use than better. It does feel AWESOME, but in a different way. Sometimes when I have a clitoral orgasm that is very powerful, I need a break to continue. While FE isn't an orgasm, it is often accompanied by a g-spot orgasm. Sometimes, it seems they just roll from one to another, over and over again to the point where you're left wondering where all that liquid could come from and how you can keep having so many orgasms in a row. If I were only to have one g-spot orgasm accompanied by FE on a regular basis, I don't think I would be as satisfied as if I only had one clitoral orgasm on that same regular basis. (Of course, I'm very greedy! I usually have some of everything, and hubby loves to spoil me!)
For those who can, is it easy? Does it happen every time? I'd say it's not easy at the beginning. Learning how can be very frustrating. When you learn how to have a clitoral orgasm, it can be frustrating, but often if you relax, it will happen on it's own. Learning to FE is a bit different. Your body and mind is wired to STOP the flow of urine unless you're on the toilet. I found that I had to make a conscious effort to overcome that. The first time I FE'd, it wasn't as much as the subsequent times have been. I did stop the flow after it started. It took me a while to process all of the things I felt and experienced. Once I was convinced what it was (or that it really wasn't urine), I became much more relaxed about it ... however, there are times that I still need to push a little to give it an assist in getting started.
Is it something you try, or does it just happen? At the beginning, I had to try. Once you get the g-spot stimulation down, and start associating those two events together, it begins to happen naturally much more often. It can then happen so easily that it's almost a nuisance at times, like if you aren't prepared to deal with the mess. Although there have been a few times that I wasn't able to stop it, for the most part now, if I'm not prepared for the mess, I can stop it -- but that does take a lot of concentration.
If you want to try experimenting, I recommend that you make sure your bladder is empty. Make sure you have something under you that will catch a lot of liquid (one towel won't cut it). Both hubby and I enjoy everything about FEing, so I made a pad to use. It's an older scatter rug with a rubber backing. I have it folded in half (rubber sides together), and inside of a pillow case. We find that works great and is easy to wash when needed (remember it's not urine -- I don't wash it every time it's used -- but I do hang it over the edge of the tub to dry between uses).
Hubby and I tried experimenting for a while without success. I did some research, read some articles, and the BEST tip I picked up in that process was to push when you get the urge to pee. The pushing in that case is very similar to the pushing you do when you actually pee. Sometimes it will squirt, but there are also times where it doesn't come out so quickly and with such force. Both are wonderful ;-)
