HaHaHa That is really funny. I too am wondering how you explained the socks to your kids.

Our headboard used to bang against the wall too, and it drove me to distraction. I cut a couple of sponges into strips and stragically placed them between the wall and headboard. The only problem was figuring out a way to attatch the sponges to the headboard. DH came up with the solution to that....DUCT TAPE, what else. Worked wonders!

The boys have never asked about the socks. But we do have a couple of other funny stories. I know you can even hear it hitting the wall from outside. One morning, I was sitting outside and heard the headboard hitting the wall. Every few minutes, there would be another "knock, knock, knock". Finally I went into the bedroom and asked hubby if he was paging me. We both laughed, and now have an understanding that if we want each other, we just knock 3 times, lol.

I have been wanting to get some foam blocks to put behind the headboard. I figured I would just glue them to the wall, but I don't have any fabric stores nearby. I have checked in some other stores, but haven't found anything that would really work.

The way we learned how far the sound traveled, we were making a good bit of noise in the morning. Only my youngest DS was home, and we suddenly heard a noise outside of our bedroom. It was a click, click, click. We quieted down, and listened. The noise stopped and we went back to what we were doing. Next thing we new, we heard "click, click, click" again. DH asked who was there, and DS answered it was him. DH went to the door to see what he wanted, and when he opened the door to peek out, DS was standing there with a toy gun. DH asked him why he was outside our door playing with his gun, and he responded "stop that banging in there!" We were both in hysterics, laughing by this time.

That's when the socks went on! We figure if the kids ask, we'll just tell them every time one of us moves, it hits the wall, and we didn't want to wake each other up.

Personally out of all the WOT positions I find this one the best. My SO is a bit wide through the hips and its hard for me to be comfortable with my legs on either side of his and if I put my feet under his thighs he crunches them so I sit in the 'frog' position almost all the time but I don't put much of my weight on my legs. Almost all my weight is on his hips. Deep pentration and its easy to use my hands on his thighs to grind and gyrate. Wow! I love it.

I think there might be an award for the most hi-jacked thread in the making here!

Oh, my darling, knock three times on the ceiling if you want me

Twice on the pipe if the answer is no, oh, my sweetness

(Knock, knock, knock!) Means you'll meet me in the hallway

Mmm, twice on the pipe (clink, clink) means you ain't gonna show

Really showing our age, aren't we, lol.

Speaking of frogs, I read recently that Adam Levine of Maroon 5 was quoted as saying that he broke up with Maria Sharapova because she was so bad in bed. He supposedly claimed that "she just lay there like a dead frog." Later, I heard on the radio that he claimed he never said that, that he hadn't even dated Sharapova, much less had sex with her, and that he had only met her once. I'm inclined to believe his denial, since I can't imagine why anyone who had hopes of having sex with any other female celebrities would say anything so insulting. Still, the behavior he supposedly described sounded a lot like most of the women I've had sex with, although I would never compare them to anything so insulting as a dead frog. I believe the comparison to a starfish is much less offensive, LOL.

wow thats quite entertaining lol, and those are actually some good tips on how to quiet the headboard. It wouldn't be a problem but we live with his mom and her bed is right by the wall facing our room, so it probably wakes her up. And my b/f likes to talk dirty so its hard to do with his mom in the next room.

Another thing DH and I do is put an old comforter on the floor. Between that and the carpet, it's fairly padded and comfortable. We throw about 4 pillows down there as well, and play some music in the background. Other than the verbal sounds, we don't have to worry about the noises we are making.
