The only complaint I have is the site seems to run really slow. Does it for you as well?

(Gee ... only 2 weeks 'til your vacation -- getting excited?)

I will be on the steroids for the rest of my life. I get to stop two of my pills today... Now down to five different ones, twice a day... Woohoo.....

I am so glad you started this thread. You are such an inspiration! Thank you.

Yeah, sometimes it's slow for me. It must be all the graphics. {shrugs}. There are times when iVillage is like that for me. Sometimes it will just freeze up and I have to re-boot.

Excited is an understatement! I've been ready for the last two weeks.... lol

and still two weeks to go. Have you actually packed yet or are you going to wait a week.??

good morning I made an extra effort to take 2000 more steps than normal. So hopefully that was a nice start. I still need those balance balls guess maybe today if my dd has her homework done by the time I get home. We could run to the store and get them along with another dvd to work out to. She was excited about the idea of working out with me. So maybe she will be my inspiration. I skipped breakfast at the fast food place again. It helps when dd cant eat because of her braces. Poor child. So i brought some oatmeal. they have an oatmeal challenge if anyone is interested. Two weeks of breakfast and you will loose weight. something to share with you if you need an extra boost and like oatmeal.

Congratulations on the extra steps! That's awesome, and it's great that dd is excited about exercising with you.

No, I haven't packed yet. I'm an easy packer.

Whew I am not in that boat!
My carb allocations are 60g per meal with a 15g during the afternoon snack and a 5g snack before bed.

I am eating more fresh veg and complex carbs, avoiding simple sugars. I have been learning and experimenting with new cooking skills to adapt favorites to just as good alternatives. I have now gotten a pancake down to 7g per cake. With my allocations I can have a stack with sugar free syrup and sausage. The beauty of it is that the family dosen't turn their nose up at these pancakes so everybody can eat them and be happy. There are other recipes that I have been working on with marginal success.

As far as me bottoming out now it has always happened in the heat of the moment. Its something I have had to learn how to control. For the most part its nice to have us back ticking like we were when we first had that fateful date where we slept together and in the morning she asked me to have sex with her. mmmmm memories

De, sounds like you're doing great!

I haven't exercised yet today .... but I did have a small bowl of cereal for breakfast, and I'm planning on baking a chicken for dinner.

Years ago, I did a diet challenge (it was something crazy -- loosing 20 lbs. in 2 weeks). Anyway, I was one of the only people able to do it, and actually lost 24 lbs. Of course, that's not the healthy way to diet, but I sort of think getting a jump start might be good for me. During that challenge, I ate any combination of soup, cereal and salad that I wanted. It was during Thanksgiving, so on that day, I ate what I wanted, and one day the prior week I did the same. I think I'm going to try and do the soup/cereal/salad thing at least a couple of days a week to see if it makes a difference.
