You should be very proud of yourself!

Telling myself 'no' isn't easy...somehow I manage to convince myself 'yes' is better too often.....

Another 3 mile walk for me yesterday, and a salad for lunch. Today may have to be a gym day though, as the weather is supposed to get pretty ugly later.

Alright Steve!

We just revamped our plans too. I think I can make it to the 9:30 spin class and home before it gets too bad. I hope the teacher shows up!

From what I gather from the weather reports we have another 4 to 8 inches coming, along with high winds, but it should all be over in time for the First Night festivities.

Doesn't that always seem to be the case that a light goes out just before the inspection HAS to be done? With me this year it was tire tread depth, because apparently a headlight replacement was too small an expense to satisfy Murphy. Glad you were able to get it fixed and inspected on short notice.

I was glad the dealership does inspections. I did have to wait an hour and half though!!!! I had such a hectic day yesterday trying to get stuff done because we were still planning to go out of town today as of last night-that lost time was painful.

Do you go to First Night events? I have always wanted to go but I hate being outside for long when it is cold.

We used to go, back before we had kids, but it's been a few years now. I also did the Times Square thing once, back when I was working in NYC. That was the year the 'refurbished' Statue of Liberty was unveiled. Tonight DW and I will ring in the new year quietly at home.

Steve,

All the years we lived in NYC, dh and I never did the Times Square thing. I think mainly becuase back then Times Square was MUCH more seedy than it is now.

LOL, my office in those days was in the Lincoln building, just across 42nd St from Grand Central Station. My commute home started with taking the shuttle to Times Square and then the N train down to the 33rd St Path station. Yup, Times Square was definitely a lot more seedy before Giuliani came along and Disney-fied it.

Disney-fied, LOL...very cute, now if we could only get those speedy passes to make our way though the crowds.
