I'm doing 2 -30 minute sessions but 3 - 20 minute sessions is an interesting idea - thanks.

Good. Too many people think that starving themselve will help them lose weight faster. That doesn't work, they usually end up gaining weight.

Just checking in and saw how chatty this thread has become! BUt it is so great hearing how to deal with the ups and downs of keeping fit and eating well while life happens.


Dh and I have made it to the gym 3 times so far and I am planning a 4th time today. DH seems exhausted this morning so I am wondering if he will join me. Tomorrow is travel day so I plan to move around as much as I can since tomorrow we will be captive of cars and planes.

Misty - I took your sugesstion this morning and did my 60 minutes on the elliptical in 3 - 20 minute sessions.

Hi Liv!

I didn't realize you were heading out today. Too bad you don't get to stay through Sunday. The weather is expected to warm up considerably between now and then!

I think this morning was the coldest I ever remember seeing it since moving here. The frost was so heavy, it came through the screen lanai and zapped some of my plants :( There was even frost hanging on the screen and if you ran your finger over the aluminum framing, it was like being on ice. Brrrrrr.

Something tells me you didn't get a lot of beach time in this trip.

Ray Jay, I'm glad that workout is working for you, but I must admit, you took it to an entirely new level all on your own.

When I originally suggested the 20 - 25 minutes on the machine, I was suggesting you cut back. I never imagined you would add a whole new repetition in there -- but it's great to hear that it is working out for you :-)

We fly home tomorrow. I actually got 3 days in the sun but DH only got one. Poor guy got caught in dome work things and then the weather turned. We did get to the gym a lot. We just got back from lunch and DH is napping. I will wake him soon for some afternoon delight. Gotta be creative with the indoor activities. Yes we have a private balcony but it Is rather small.
