Em! I am glad you dug this ol' thread back up. A few months ago Misty asked if I would start a new one and I said I would but I have failed miserably on that! I am so glad you are seeing some changes since your diagnosis. Once you really get stabilized it will all fall into place even better!
My training is going great! I still do 1/2 hour with a local trainer to work on balance and core. Only one more week of that before I put that on hold for the summer. I am still doing 3-4 spin classes but trying to use the stair climber and arc trainer and rowing machine more on alternate days for more balance. I am a little more than half way through the summer "Savage" program. Doing it has pushed my body fat down to where I was hoping. I am lifting weights 4 times a week and heavy heavy. Loving the effect and totally amazed at the results!!(yes I have a six pack!) I am planning to go and have a new photo shoot in the fall! That is my goal.

RJJJ-you are doing great balancing all you have going on with your gym time. Maintain now-that is the hardest part and then push for the final 20 when you can (or want to) focus.

Steve-thought of you today. A good friend of mine rode her bike here to visit me and was thrilled she didn't have to ride in the rain! Yes no rain for about 4 hours today.

Misty-I need to report over at the SSS!!headed there now.

Tomorrow is moving day for me, Misty. I'll be signing papers and getting keys at 10:00, the furniture rental place will be delivering sometime between 10:00 and 12:00, and the Comcast guy will be there to hook me up to the internet (and MLB Extra Innings for Red Sox games) between 2:00 and 4:00.

I've been out of the gym for a couple of weeks recovering from surgery (umbilical hernia repair), but plan to get back at it soon. At work, we get three hours a week to go to the gym (on the clock) and it really helps to have workout buddies to push you along. Plus, the gym's next door (I work on an Air Force base)

The gym has a body fat measuring device called the Bod Pod and I was very, very

Hi John8054! Not sure if you have joined in before but welcome! (I don;t get to read every post so sorry if I missed anything)
It is a great thread. So many of us have been working on goals-what are yours-besides getting back into it after surgery.
Thats is great you get time at work to exercise. I am lucky fitness is important to my boss too and she gives us flex time so I can go in late or go to work early not to miss my exercise (I think I am addicted to it!).

I have heard very mixed things about the body pod. Seems there really is no easy way to measure body fat. I just look in the mirror. If I see what I like I keep doing it, if I don't like what see, I change what I am doing!

Especially with the time difference, you'll be all ready for the game at 4 tomorrow. Just a couple of small details:

Enjoy! (Virtual, non fat chips, BTW!)

Yes I did thank you for asking - I caught 13 and I got my chest and belly sunburned. It was incredibly hot out in the sun so I unbuttoned the front of my fishing shirt. And sitting in an aluminum boat and with the reflectivity of the water - bingo - a red front side even though I had my back to the sun (shhhh, don't tell BL). Fortunately it isn't very uncomfortable at all but looked gross in the gym's locker room this morning - lol.

I'll do my part with the plans tonight, hopefully DW will "hold up her end" - a little play on words. We've already picked out the movie for tonight, "Notting Hill".

(Okay, I won't tell BL about the sunburn.)

Great movie ... I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.
