OMG that workout KICKS ASS!! I'm used to doing strength training, and none of the exercises by themselves was particularly hard — but doing them with no break between sets, coupled with the fact that most of them are compound exercises that work multiple muscle groups at a time, makes it killer.

It is Killer. I don't have any more major arm or calf soreness...Just completed day 9!!!! I've moved up to 3lb weights for the chest pulls (name...where you bend your knees, hold weights out and down at an angle and pull back) and the chest fly's and can occasionally do 1 full set of regular push ups.

One more day til I move on to day 10. Not seeing any major loss WHERE I want it but I think those are the last places for it to leave from (lower ab's and that ring that forms just where the thigh meets the butt...saddlebag area)

I do have more calf definition...and bicep definition. We take pic's again tomorrow.

I might be able to help you preview the workout Misty...email me through my profile if you are interested.

You mean the row?

I'm doing the workout with 8lb weights, which are bigger than what it looks like they're using in the video, but like I said I'm used to doing strength training, and my gender gives me a bit of an advantage in the testosterone department.

thank you...I was calling them chest pulls cuz I could never remember it

Yeah I started w/ 2 lb weights (b/c I've been doing basically nothing other than walking before this) I'm rather happy to have been able to up the weights in any of it.

Like I said I start Level 2 Day after tomorrow. Where are you in this Steve?

Only just beginning, on your recommendation. The ones that really kick my butt are doing the side lunges combined with the front raises.

Let me know how Level 2 is compared to the first one.

OMG...I don't know what it is about that move but I am STILL having a hard time with it!

I'm "hearing" that level 2 and level 3 do progressively more in "plank" yikes. Although so far everyone seems to find the first cardio in level one (jumping jack/jump rope/jumping jack/jump rope) to be one of the harder things. I've heard rumor of "plank jumping jacks" and while I don't know what that IS...it scares me! LOL!!!

I'll find out soon enough.

LEVEL 2 KICKS BUTT

OMG.

Plank crunches

Plank Jumping jacks

my shoulders are feeling this one. I'd say it stepped it up for me about the same amount that level one stepped up from doing nothing.

wow

I weighed myself on the Official Boston Steve Bathroom Scale this morning, and discovered that the extra walking I've been doing, coupled with a reduction in stress-induced snacking, have caused me to lose 10 lbs. since I left here in June. Hopefully I'll be able to report another 10 lbs. when I'm back here again for Thanksgiving. That might result in me needing to add new jeans (in a smaller size) to my birthday wish list, though.

:o)
